From the Desk of the Founder

The story of my hotel, and its integrated wellness and adventure offerings is deeply personal—shaped by vision, reverence for nature, and a lifelong commitment to Ayurveda, holistic healing, and sustainable tourism.

Humble beginning: A Vision from the Hills (1992)

My journey in tourism began in 1992 with a modest guest house in Tattapani. The very first guest paid just ₹10, yet that moment marked the birth of my first private tourism initiative in the region.
From the outset, I recognized the rare and powerful potential of Tattapani—its naturally occurring hot sulphur springs and the majestic Sutlej River flowing through pristine Himalayan landscapes. I envisioned the region not merely as a stopover, but as a future hub for health tourism, spiritual rejuvenation, and nature-based adventure, rooted in harmony with the environment.

Global Influence & Cultural Promotion

In 1998, I moved to Italy, where I established a wellness centre dedicated to Ayurveda and Yoga. Through this initiative, I introduced ancient Indian healing sciences to a European audience, fostering awareness and respect for India’s traditional knowledge systems.
This period played a vital role in bridging Eastern wisdom with Western wellness, positioning Ayurveda and Yoga as holistic sciences for modern living and global well-being.
After returning from Italy in 2007, The foundation of the present-day Hotel Hot springs and Sandhaya Ayurvedic centre was laid and operations successfully started in 2010.

Adventure Tourism Pioneer - First Certified Water Sports Agency in Himachal Pradesh (2019)

In 2019, I once again had the opportunity to pioneer change—this time in adventure tourism. I became the first private individual in Himachal Pradesh to collaborate with the State Tourism Department in framing official rules for still-water adventure activities in reservoirs.
Tattapani Travel & Water Sports subsequently became the first officially certified water sports agency in Himachal Pradesh, transforming the Sutlej River into a safe, regulated, and sustainable adventure destination.
Today, these guidelines have been adopted across Himachal Pradesh and our neighbouring states, generating employment opportunities and sustainable livelihoods for local communities.
Tattapani welcomes visitors from India and across the world, offering a rare convergence of healing, spirituality, culture, and adventure, including:
  • Therapeutic bathing in natural hot sulphur springs
  • Ayurveda and Naturopathy treatments
  • Yoga and Meditation Vedic astrology consultations
  • Sacred fire ceremonies (Havan) for purification
  • Tula Daan
  • River-based adventure sports and outdoor experiences
Each experience in my hotel is thoughtfully designed to restore balance, vitality, and inner harmony, guided by deep respect for nature and ancient Indian traditions.
It is my proud privilege to welcome you all to The Hotel Hot Springs & Sandhya health centre.
